Geylang is a township and planning area found in Singapore in the fringe of the Central region. The area borders Hougang as well as Toa Payoh in the north. In the south, it borders Marine Parade while in the east and west it borders Bedok and Kallang respectively. The area is perhaps famously known as a red light district, most particularly along the Geylang road areas. Also in this area of Geylang is where you will find Singapore’s oldest Malay settlements known as Geylang Serai.
